iModoModo

This is an event planning “mashup” with the Google Mapping application.  iModomodo has been designed to allow user specific maps such as those from a University Campus or Tradeshow floorplan to overlay on top of the standard Google maps. The event planner pulls from APIs of several event websites such as Eventful.com and Citysearch.com.  These events are displayed through a date orientated “coverflow” timeline, in addition to the standard menu based search result framework.

The target market for this application are organizations who have detailed maps that will not be displayed through Google Maps.  Universities have maps of buildings, lecture halls and dormitories.  iModomodo allows those specific maps to be mashed up with Google Maps to add specific functionality for the specific target users.  Events are added to the mapping, including a “cover flow” timeline that provides event details, location and times.
