The Conference Navigator utilizes KIN to fulfull this spirit of investigation, communication, collaboration and contribution, providing for all attendees throughout the year.  The application serves as a targeted search engine, data mining tool, social networking environment and destination for the inter-change of ideas.  Breakthrough research (pre-published content) is merely annoucned at a conference, but its development exists in a ongoing timeline.  Conference Navigator provides an always accessible forum to stay connected to the ideas and discoveries pertinent to one’s field of interest.

Recent academic studies have postulated that 85% of all data in the academic world is “un-structured” data.  Conference Navigator has tightly integrated blogging, user ranking and peer reviews and online abstract printing/PDF creation to create greater efficiencies for the conference administrator and attendee alike.

Possibly the most innovative and useful feature of the Conference Navigator is it’s speedy and stable “Interactive Knowledge Cluster Mapping” feature.  Users can search subject keywords, titles, authors, publications and more to receive a visual representation of all possible cluster groups produced by a search.  Users will become aware of connections and patterns in submitted abstracts that they may have not previously been aware of.  The yellow dots within each cluster are fully interactive, and will produce the associated content, whether a journal abstract, blog posting, conference seminar, un-structured data such as notes and more.
