iWakari is a software company with offices in Los Angeles and Melbourne. The principals use technology everyday to collaborate, communicate and discover. We know what our users desire because it is the very things that we demand in our daily working lives. PRINCIPALS STEVE MELNIKOFF is a research and development scientist, with a proven track record in software development, web-based application development, strategic planning, systems engineering and project management. Steve has served as Chief Technology Officer and VP of Information Technology for several Seattle technology and consulting companies. Mr. Melnikoff has degrees in Mathematics and Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He has Masters and PH.D degrees from the University of California, Riverside in Physics. He has served as Assistant Professor at UC San Francisco and the University of Melbourne, in addition to research and consulting work at GE Space Nuclear Energy Systems, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and the UC California/Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. The Knowledge Information Navigator is dedicated to Steve Melnikoff's partner, Arlene, his son, Talon and to every scientist striving to learn more about the world, and make it a better place in which to live.
ALAN FINKEL is a Los Angeles, CA based designer of healthcare, environmental and intuitive software applications. Specializing in creating engaging and instructive user experiences, Mr. Finkel has led cancer care, corporate employee assistance program and consumer education initiatives using technology and Web 2.0 functionality.
Alan started his career as an attorney, specializing in corporate law. Alan then created Wildmind Public Relations, a firm providing marketing services to internet, technology and financial companies. Yet, the proudest accomplishment for Alan has been the development of the “Cancer Safety Net” software application for patients and their loved ones. The application was developed to manage patient stress and deliver all the pertinent treatment and emotional related information in a easily accessible, entertaining, fresh and calming manner.

MEHRAN NIA is a co-founder and a Director of U.S. Auto Parts and served as the Company's Chief Executive Officer and President from October 1995 to October 2007. From October 1995 to January 2001, Mr. Nia also served as the Company's Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Nia holds a B.A. degree in biology from San Diego State University.
